Museum of Contemporary Art of Serralves

The Serralves Museum project, work of the architect Álvaro Siza began in 1991. In 1999, the new building was opened, harmoniously integrated with the urban surroundings and the pre-existing spaces of the Park and House gardens.
Visiting the Museum is always more than visiting its exhibitions, it is also discovering the particularities of each space that composes this architectural work.

Nacional Museum Soares dos Reis

It is the first public art museum in Portugal, founded in 1833. It has been installed since 1940 in Palácio dos Carrancas, built at the end of the 19th century. XVIII, by a wealthy family from Oporto and currently classified as a property of public interest.

The Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Porto (MHNC-UP) has as fundamental mission to promote the diffusion of knowledge about evolution, diversity and convergence between the natural and cultural world.

Electric Car Museum 

Inaugurated in 1992, the Electric Car Museum has a collection of electric cars and other support cars that circulated in Oporto and which marked the history of urban transport on city rails.

Port Wine Museum 

The Museum illustrates the importance that the Port wine trade has had in the development and cultural, architectural and social growth, evoking the memory of the transformations that have taken place, through the history of three Ports that unite: Port city, Wine Port and Port of the river Douro.

Museum of Transport and Communications 

Located on the banks of the River Douro, next to Porto's historic city center, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Transport and Communications Museum (MTC) occupies the historic building of Oporto Customs House, one of the most emblematic buildings in City.
The mission of the Museum is to disseminate the history of transportation and the different media developed by man up to the present, as well as the valuation of the associated heritage.
