RESERVATION POLICY
Reservations and Payment
Payment for the stay may be made at check-in by credit/debit card or cash, or prior to arrival by credit/debit card or bank transfer. Card payments are subject to a 3% additional fee to cover transaction costs.
All extra services are charged separately, including:
Breakfast
Extra bed
Additional cleaning requested during the stay
The guest authorizes CASAS DO PORTO to charge the provided card for any expenses not settled until check-out.
Note: At check-in, guests must provide a valid credit/debit card as a security deposit for any damages or breaches of the accommodation rules. The guest understands and consents that the card may be charged without signature. The authorization will be voided 48 hours after check-out. If no issues occur, no charges will be applied.
Check-in / Check-out
- Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be authorized by CASAS DO PORTO, subject to availability and agreed conditions.
- The reservation holder must present identification documents/passports for all guests. In accordance with Portuguese law, official ID is mandatory for every occupant.
Cleaning
- Apartments are cleaned prior to guest arrival. For stays longer than 5 nights, a mid-stay cleaning and towel change will be provided. This service takes place on the 3rd day and then every 3 days.
- Additional cleaning may be requested and will be charged according to the price list.
- At departure, the apartment must be left in reasonably clean condition and free of trash. Waste should be disposed of in the containers located across the street. Failure to do so may result in an extra fee.
Occupancy
- The number of guests declared at the time of reservation must be accurate. Under no circumstances may the maximum capacity of the apartment be exceeded. Non-compliance may lead to immediate removal without liability for CASAS DO PORTO
Behavior Rules
- Smoking is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy results in a €50 fee for cleaning and deodorization.
- The use of apartment linens or dishes outside the unit is not permitted.
- Pets are not allowed unless expressly authorized by CASAS DO PORTO.
- Guests must maintain respectful behavior towards other guests, staff, and neighbors, as the property is located in a residential building.
- Any damage to the property, furniture, or equipment will be charged to the provided card.
- Unregistered visitors are not permitted inside the apartment.
- Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate eviction without refund.
Safety Rules
- Guests must observe basic safety procedures to prevent fires and accidents. Doors and windows should be properly secured whenever the apartment is unattended. Equipment must be used responsibly.
- CASAS DO PORTO is not responsible for lost or stolen items or for damages resulting from negligence or improper behavior.
- Although Porto is generally safe, guests are advised to take precautions, especially at night.
Liability
- CASAS DO PORTO is not responsible for changes or losses caused by external factors such as flight delays or cancellations, lost luggage, weather conditions, or failures in water, electricity, internet or air-conditioning services.
- Valuable items should be stored securely. CASAS DO PORTO assumes no responsibility for theft, loss or damage of personal belongings.
- Luggage storage is offered as a courtesy, subject to availability, and entirely at the guest’s own risk.
Complaints
- A complaints book is available in the building. Complaints must be submitted within 48 hours of detection.
Cancellation Policy
Flexible Rate
Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival: 100% charge
Cancellations 14 days or more before arrival: no penalty
Non-Refundable Rate
All cancellations after reservation confirmation: 100% charge
Cancellations on check-in day or no-shows: no refund
Booking Changes
- Changes are allowed with more than 14 days’ notice for flexible rates and subject to availability.
- Non-refundable rates do not allow changes.
Tourist Tax
- A tourist tax of €3 per night applies to each guest aged 13 or older, up to a maximum of 7 nights per stay.
Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The exclusive jurisdiction is the District Court of Porto.
Data Protection
- CASAS DO PORTO complies with GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Personal data is treated confidentially and used only for reservation management and legal obligations.

- Booking and payment platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Airbnb, Agoda, Hotelbeds, Abreu, Tourtailors, Ctrip, JM Vacations, Yourtriptospain, Stripe)

- Official authorities when legally required (e.g., mandatory guest reporting to AIMA)
- We do not sell or trade your personal data

- Cookie-related information varies depending on the cookie type (maximum 2 years).
